I discovered my comfort for solitude at the age of 18. I accepted it as my calling at age 40. And now, I am ready to share the glory of its goodness to the world through my gift.

I am often sought out by family and friends to write creative content. From scholarship letters, poems, and yes, even wedding vows, it seems as though I have “inked” it all. With my joy of writing, journaling, solo-travel, and self-care, I am honored to use my blog as a platform to encourage and inspire anyone who struggles with being alone. Recently divorced? I support you sis. Transitioning from toxic friends? Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve been there. Having a hard time leaving that lost love behind? Trust me, you ALONE are the greatest gift to find. Perhaps all is well, and you just want to step out on faith and challenge your comfort zone? Although you are taking the leap by yourself, remember spiritually, you are never, ever, alone!

I have enjoyed the travel industry for going on 20 years and have been here, there, and a little bit of everywhere. I took my first solo trip abroad in 2006 and I haven’t stopped since. Solo travel is indeed a life changing event that some of your friends and family may never – “get.”  You may find that the enrichment and satisfaction you receive from your solo experience may make you feel isolated, like no one will truly understand, however, you will soon discover that others will never fathom your fortitude until they experience it for themselves. The elation of knowing that all is well within your own company near or abroad will leave you feeling invincible, ultimately realizing, that no matter your situation, you can, and will, walk away as a winner!

When I am not traveling, I enjoy teaching struggling readers serving as a Reading Intervention Specialist. Understanding the world through the eyes of children is indeed a journey within itself. It serves as an inspiration to continue to fill my cup and nourish my soul with fruitful experiences that will motivate generations to come.
